Q: What kind of gum does Brynn chew? - Shay
Brynn: There's different kinds? I only buy the kind you chew. Putting some other kind in my mouth would probably be like that time Matt dared me to eat one of Rocket Dog's dog biscuits. There's a reason there's specific KINDS of biscuits for a doggy! It tasted like old soup! Yuck! Although once I saw this movie where a girl (in a really nice outfit btw (that means BY THE WAY btw)) had some gum that tasted like soup. Then she turned blue and Elton changed the channel b/c (that means BECAUSE) "he'd seen it". I've never seen any soup gum in the store, and probably wouldn't chew it anyway. I like Strawberry. Although I bet Strawberry Soup might be pretty good -not as chewy though, b/c (that still means BECAUSE) it would be soupy.
Q: Susie, what's your favorite productivity application. Mine is Excel cuz i like SPREADSHEETS!! - Brett
Susie: Hi Brett! Thanks for your question. As you can imagine, managing a struggling rock band is a lot of work, and my computer is certainly an integral part of keeping everything straight. We're very budget conscious (at least until we are able to finally land that sweet record contract with Top Notch Records) so I've been doing all my word processing, spreadsheets, and presentations with Open Office. It's free and compatible with Microsoft Office, so there are no problems when I send files to our accounting, legal, or PR departments. But if I had to choose a favorite productivity application though I would have to pick Evernote. It's a really easy way to remember things and syncs with my PDA. Thanks again for your question.
Q: You are all great musicians, could you tell me a little bit about how you each became involved with music? - J. Rocket
Matt: Well, a few years ago I was dating a girl who's Dad was a guitar player. Every once in a while he'd hand me one of his guitars and show me a chord or two. I thought it was fun, but not really my thing. Then I ended up breaking up with her and dating her sister. Turns out her Dad was a guitar player too! I took that as a sign that I was destined to become a guitar player so I practiced everyday and eventually was good enough to become a HOT ROCKET.
Elton: I had been studying sound waves for several years, and I realized that it may be possible for certain frequencies (played in certain patterns and at certain decibel levels) to alter brain waves. More precisely, sound waves can affect brain waves which in turn can affect a person's physiology and well-being. To test this theory I purchased a "bass guitar" and strung together several different sequences of frequencies set to a specific rhythm. Bryn lived in my neighborhood and happened to be walking by my lab one day and heard my experiment in progress and asked me if I'd like to become a HOT ROCKET. I accepted, on the condition that I am able to continue my studies and experiments.
Bryn: In high school we had to choose between band and home economics for our extraterrestrial activity. Since I know economics involves lots of math and formulas and stuff, I went with band. To bad they didn't offer a class in cake baking, I'd have gotten an A+++ in that! Anyway, once I was in the band room I realized that drums was the only way to go for me, because, try playing the flute or trumpet or clarinet while blowing bubbles! That's not gonna work!
Susie: Back when I was attending Eastland boarding school, I picked up the guitar and started playing with folks from a public school in WeemaWee. I took that very seriously and learned all there was to know about it, but the other folks in the band just wanted to play weekly for only 12 weeks a year. So, I put down the guitar and hit the books for a few years instead. I transferred schools a few times and eventually graduated as validictorian at McKinley High. From there, I decided to give guitar lessons to continue my studies and that's when I met the gang, but not by giving them lessons though. I actually ran into them at the Sherman Oaks Galleria food court and we all got to talking. They were just The Rockets then. I punched the numbers, reviewed my long-term career goals, and it just made sense to describe The Rockets with the proper adjective (HOT!),join up with them, look after all the financial activities and rock out. |
